YATRA TO KURUKSHETRAM,PUSHKAR AND NAIMISHARANYAM

Dear friends, i am on a trip from 3rd feb to 10th feb to the above places.Let me give a brief description of the same.-----Pushkar--This is  a place near Ajmer.[Rajasthan] The only Brahma temple is located here.There is a vast sarovar around which no; of holy places are located.The Brahma temple is the place where Brahma did penance prior to creation of the universe.-------------------------------------------- kurukshetram--------It,s located in Haryana.The great Mahabharatha war took place here. There is a vast pond called Brahmasarovar.There are no; of temples around this sarovar.. Jyotisar is the place Krishna gave Geetopadesham to Arjuna.Nearby Baan-Ganga[where Bhisma layed on the arrow-bed and obtained divine darshan of Lord kRISHNA.      -------                                                                        NAIMISHARANYAM  ;;;This is near Lucknow[u.p]Here river Gomathi flows and it was here that Parikshit[BHAGAVATAM]  was  blessed by sri suka with Bhagavatha Saptaham.Those that are famoue temples being Vyasa temple, srisukas temple, Manu-shatarupa temple etc.-----------------

CROSSING THE RIVER OF SAMSARA

The river called desire is like water agitated by waves of greed,frequented by crocodile of attachment with doubts and uncertainties hovering around like birds destroys the tree of poise and fortitude. such a river with deep and unconquerable  whirlpool of delusion, flanked by tall and insurmountable banks of anxiety,only the pure minded yogis cross over and revel in  beatitude.------vairagyasatakam

THREE PATHS LEADING TO ISHWARA

GANA[MUSIC]

GANA is the easiest way to to attain BHAGAVAN.ALL the Vedas are pure.IT cannot be said that one is greater than the other.Be it be yajur,sama or rig,all Vedas are pure. although all Vedas enjoy the same  status, the Alwars,or Nayanmars or other bakthas sing"chandiran  thalayil aninda  sankaran samavedi"scent moon [Lord shiva], who wears the crescent  moon on his head  is a sama vedi..In gita also lord says, "amongst vedas, i am sama veda.Bakthas also address the lord as hey sama gana priya, sama gana lola,. why is lord sama gana priya? why not rig,yajur,or atharvana veda priya?.Does he not like other vedas? are not other vedas pure?. it,s because sama veda is in musical form, Bhagavan loves it..Music attracts Baghavan. 

JIVAN-MUKLTHI-VIVEKA

न  देहो नेन्द्रियम  प्राणों  न  मनो  बुद्याहम्कृथी । न  चित्तम  नैव  माया  न  च  व्योमादिकं  जगतु                 न  कर्ता  नैव  बोक्ता  च  न  च बोजयिता  तता । केवलं  चित्सदानंदो ब्रह्मेवात्मा  यातार्ततहा ।                           The self is neither the body, nor the senses, nor life, nor the mind, nor the intelligence,nor the ego,nor the thinking, nor the maya,nor the creation beginning with the space, not also the doer, nor the enjoyer. does not also cause these, in reality, the self is Brahman., which is knowledge, existence and limitless ananda.                                                                                                               This are 33 and 34 th  verses from jivanmukthi viveka by swami sri VIDYARANYA.
