Dear guys, i tried a maharashtrian dish called Kothambirvadi. It's very easy to make. take 1 cup of besan powder, add 1 cup of water and add dhaniya leaves[Kothamalli leaves] pl note that kothamalli must be cut into fine small pieces and steer well till a fine batter like that of idli mavu. u can add little of Eno salt for little fermentation- keep the batter for 1 hour. Take a flat vessel put some oil at bottom and side portion of the vessel, so that batter that is transferred will not stick the vessel. pressure cook the batter for 4 or 5 wistles and remove the vessel from pressure cooker cut the batter. it will come as square pieces. fry this pieces in oil and Kothambir vadi is ready. This i tried today' and it came out to be very much successfull. pl note u should add salt, little of mirchi powder etc to the batter before pressure cooking. YOU MAY TRY. THIS VERY EASY TO MAKE.
Will try this out soon.. Thanks Appa!
ReplyDeleteWow!! good going pops. Thanks for the recipe, we waste a lot of kothambir every time we get it from farmers market and this might be the thing to try.
