yashoda the fortunate mother of lord Krishna

krishnaya, vasudevaya, devakhi nandanaya cha, Nandagopa kumaraya, govindaya, namo namaha.---------Well this is   a very famous shloka, from time immemorial. well the simple meaning being I salute  that  krishna, who is vasudeva,s son, who is devaki,s child, who is the  son of Nandagopa,, to that Govinda, i do my pranams.Now everybody knows that krishna was originally born toVasudeva and Devakhi. and he is also Nandagopa,s son as he was brought up at Gokulam, by Yashoda  and Nandagopa. right from the time he was born. But if you observe it talks about three  personalities. omitting the most important one called Yashoda, who litterally enjoyed bringing up the great paramatman Krishna. Really speaking Yashoda had a special relation with Krishna, who behaved as  normal child and she was the only one who punished him for his mischievous pranks. She even tied him  with the ropes, which was shorter as  krishna expanded himself and did not allow her to tie up. Finally he gives her a special concession as yashoda is krishna's mother and she always loved him just as any mother loves her child. She is the only one in bagavatham,  wherein she enjoyed the closeness with krisna, sometimes loving, sometimes scolding, sometimes supporting him when other gopis complain about his  mischief s and krishna himself behaved as if he is afraid of her. hence although this shloka doesn;t talk about her; still it is inherent in anybody;s mind that yashoda the great mother was really most fortunate and one of the famous kirtana also. talks about the fortunate Yashoda who really enjoys   bringing him up from the day he was born.
